| Remarks | Vulnerable (Collar et al., 1999), this typically secretive Philippine endemic is an obligate resident of the lowland forest and as such has been severely affected by deforestation. It is thought to have declined by at least 20% over the last 10 years and has, since 1980, been recorded at less than 20 sites across the entire Philippines. It was recorded at five of the study sites on Polillo Island, however only one of these sites, the Sibulan Watershed Reserve has any formal protection. It may be found both close to and far from streams. |
