Name Dendrocygna arcuata arcuata, Wandering whistling duck
Distribution Indonesia, through to New Guinea and Australia. The race is endemic to the Philippines
Habitat freshwater wetlands, marshes, swamps, ricefields etc.
Remarks Can be confused in flight with the Papan, although it has a longer neck, a slighter build, and a white rump. These ducklings were found in a grass tussock on Jomalig.
