Distribution Sumatra to New Guinea; throughout the Philippines, possibly excluding the Palawan Faunal Region (Heaney et al, 1998).
Habitat Primary forest through to cultivated land
Remarks There are two morphs of this species recorded: a smaller lowland morph associated with caves in agricultural areas and a larger highland morph associated with primary forest. However both morphs were found roosting in the same caves in Burdeos. The photograph below illustrates the two together.
