JOMALIG: There is essentially no forest left on Jomalig. The few remaining scattered patches are all less than 5 hectares area and contain light-demanding pioneer species typical of secondary growth. However the islands large marshlands and inland mangroves are habitats of great importance for the Philippine duck and unconfirmed remnant populations of Philippine crocodiles.
